hermes is a personal, single-user command-line tool. This policy describes exactly what it does with Google user data. There is no other party involved: the tool runs on the owner's own machine, and the owner is also the only user.

What data is accessed

• Google Calendar — the owner's own calendars and events (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar).
• Google Tasks — the owner's own task lists and tasks (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks).

No other Google services are requested, and no data about anyone other than the authenticated owner is accessed.

How the data is used

• To display the owner's schedule and tasks back to the owner.
• To create, update or delete calendar events and tasks when the owner asks.
• For nothing else. No profiling, no advertising, no analytics.

How the data is stored and shared

• All API calls go directly from the owner's machine to Google's servers.
• OAuth credentials (including the refresh token) are stored only in a local file on the owner's own machine, readable only by that machine's owner.
• Calendar and task content is never transmitted to the author of this tool, to any third party, or to any intermediary server, and is never sold or shared.
• There is no server operated by this project that receives Google user data.
• No analytics, telemetry or tracking of any kind.

Retention and deletion

• Data lives on the owner's machine for as long as the owner keeps it; deleting the local credential file removes it entirely.
• Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, after which no further access is possible.

Google API Services User Data Policy

hermes's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
